I will mention from the start that hex editing the exe file didn't work for me as the game crashed while loading a mission. So the solution provided by vashren was to extract the old dll files from Catalyst 13.1 (when 3D was working) and copy them in the TIE installation folder, therefore bypassing the dll files from Windows folder.Īlthough the fix was for X-Wing Alliance, it works with Tie Fighter 95. All these games are basically based on similar engines.
